Barnett Properties company principals have worked hard to develop relationships with the major tenants operating in our markets.
The Current management portfolio includes twenty-two retail properties containing approximately 1.4 million square feet. There is one property in Georgia, four in Virginia, and seventeen in North Carolina. There are five properties currently under construction in Georgia.

Mr. Barnett graduated from Davidson College and joined Barnett Properties in 1990 and currently serves as President. Prior to joining, he worked for First Union National Bank and subsequently with The Bank of Boston in Atlanta, Georgia.
Charles Kane joined Barnett Properties in 2003 and is Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Primary responsibilities include project financing, acquisition/disposition of properties, and asset management. Prior to joining Barnett Properties, Charles worked eight years in the mortgage banking business, ten years in property management, and three years with an institutional lender. He holds an undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University and an MBA from Vanderbilt University. Outside interests include golf, sports, and family activities.
Mr. Haller attended Davidson College where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree. He also attended Wake Forest University where he received his JD-MBA. Mr. Haller joined Barnett Properties in 1998 and currently serves as Vice President of New Development.
Pat Hodge is the Vice President/Treasurer of Barnett Properties, LLC and has worked in both residential and commercial real estate development since 1986. Prior to joining Barnett Properties her varied responsibilities have included office management, leasing, and property management. Mrs. Hodge has been with Barnett Properties since 2004 and has been responsible for varied accounting services including maintaining and reporting complete and detailed job cost information for shopping centers while under construction as well as accounts payable and receivable for property management operations. Mrs. Hodge is a licensed real estate broker in North Carolina.
Steve Sartorio joined Barnett Properties in April 2008 and is the firm’s Vice President of Leasing. As such, he is actively involved in the company’s leasing and development activities. Prior to joining Barnett Properties, Steve worked for WRS Realty in South Carolina. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and Spanish from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In his free time he enjoys being active with friends and family.
Henry Falkner joined Barnett Properties in 2014 and is Vice President of Property Management. His responsibilities include the management of all physical properties. Henry has worked in residential property management for sixteen years and in the building materials industry for fifteen years. He holds a BS in Business Administration from Elon College. He is a licensed Real Estate broker in the state of NC. His interests include being outdoors, golf and being with friends and family.
Deborah Edwards is the Lease Administrator for Barnett Properties, LLC and has worked in both residential and commercial real estate property management since 1980. Mrs. Edwards has been with Barnett Properties since 1987 serving as office manager, administrative assistant and is responsible for abstracting and administering over 250 retail and office leases, including monthly rent rolls of over $1,000,000; percentage rent calculations; and annual CAM, tax and insurance reconciliations.
